Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing involves promoting your game via the use of affiliates - either people or company. the most popular form this can take is via the likes of a lets play on youtube or just a premonition mention, regardless of what or how you go about it, the cost to do so could be very expensive depending on who is promoting it and how big there reach is. However despite the cost, this is most definitely one of the best ways to get publicity and advertise your game.
an important thing to remember if you chose this is the CAP code, perhaps most notably rule 2.1 which states "marketing communications are obviously identifiable as such" (Online Affiliate Marketing, 2019) what this means as that you can't pay someone to play your game and then get them to act like they weren't paid to play it by you, pretending to be a consumer. This is usually dealt with on youtube by the affiliate mentioning they were sponsored to play it in the video as well as AD being in the title or thumbnail
